This site is now powered by Jekyll and Netlify! Using Jekyll allows me to convert posts (still written with Markdown!) into static pages which Netlify can host.
Details:
- Posts were converted using Jekyll ghost importer
- Pretty seamless (aside for some UTF-8 character issues)
- I used Jekyll’s quick start guide to get started (with Netlify’s guide as reference)
- Initialized and pushed a Git repo to GitLab, and referenced it when creating the site on Netlify
- CNAME change to point from the Heroku hosted site to the Netlify hosted site
This (finally) enables HTTPS access to this blog, as well as free up some Heroku free dyno time!
